4. Do you need a web site designer? or can you do it yourself?

Here is a recap about what we talked about last week...

<<<<<>Lisa Explains it All for a basic understanding of how to build your own website with HTML. The site is for kids, but it is a really great resource for the Adults too! You can also check out Microsoft Front Page for designing websites yourself. It is a easy program to use while trying to build a website. If you have Microsoft Office you may already have the program installed. If not you can buy it straight from microsoft or possibly cheaper on eBay. >>>>>

Do you need a web site designer?

You may feel you can try to do it on your own, which is a lot cheaper for a Mother on a budget. Most web designs will cost around $200.00 to over $1000.00 depending on what your website needs. If you have the basic knowledge of how to use HTML or if you have Microsoft Front Page, you may have already started to play with your web site design.

The first thing you will need is your "Theme". Pick colors that you want to use. You can change it anytime you want, but I would choose some colors you know your going to stay with.

If you have never played around with html now is your chance if you want to try to build a website.

At the beginning of your webpage your going to have these basic HTML codes.
This will get you started... Well, looks like Blogger wont let me do it! Sorry, I really tried!

You can check out the Lisa Explains it All website for other basic html codes to help you with your website.

Now, if you do not want to build your site because you think it's to complicated. You can get your own domain name and hosting with easy to use templates at http://website.ws/Mothers It's free for the first 7 days then only $10.00 a month therafter. Not bad for your own domain name, hosting, templates, and email package.

Check back tomorrow for our next topic.

To your success!
